Fabulous Foundation SheetsThis pattern is designed to be sewn on translucent foundation sheets.  Because they are translucent, you can piece on the front (no reversing the design) and the mirrored half of the pattern does not have to be printed in reverse. A big bonus is that they do not need to be removed, so you'll save lots of time NOT ripping out paper!

Add-a-Quarterfor trimming seams.

Seam Roller for pressing quickly and easily at the sewing machine - no iron required.

Ovarian Cancer Awareness

On the evening of July 4th, 2026, I went to the emergency room because I thought I was having complications from a UTI that could affect my kidneys. I did have a UTI, but a CT scan and subsequent MRI revealed something more serious — ovarian cancer. Turns out that stupid UTI — which I caught by swimming in a public pool a few weeks earlier — may have saved my life!

The good news is that we caught it early — Stage 2 — and at this stage it is very treatable. But often ovarian cancer often goes undetected until it has spread throughout the body because the symptoms are hard to reccognize. (I'm really lucky!)  I'll be sharing my experiences through my newsletter in an effort to raise awareness and educate other women about it.  I hope you'll follow along and share the information with anyone you think it might help.  If you would like to receive my newsletter, get the free Wings of Love pattern and you will automatically be added to my mailing list.

If you or someone you know would like more information about ovarian cancer or support in dealing with it, here are two organizations:
National Ovarian Cancer Coalition: https://ovarian.org/
Ovarian Cancer Research Alliance: https://ocrahope.org/

Wishing you happy quilting and good health!  ~ RaNae
