Really? A 1-hour quilt top?

I know, it sounds impossible. But I have done myself and taught other people too — including one friend who didn’t even know how to thread a sewing machine — and yes, we were all able to make a quilt top in about an hour. HOW?

A 1-hour quilt top uses the power of border print fabrics and strip sets to create the quilt design for you. You start with a "mother strip," make a few simple cuts, rearrange the pieces, and reassemble them with a few seams. The process makes up to three quilt tops at once. Each takes about an hour. They are fast, easy and beautiful! (Take a look at the pictures!)

Why make a 1-hour quilt top?

Making 1-hour quilt tops is fun!

You can make one quilt or lots of quilts FAST for grandkids, siblings, foster kids, friends. (Hint, get all your Christmas gift quilts made early, in a few days!)

You can feel good knowing that the quilt is being used and loved, and if it gets worn out or ruined, you can easily replace it.

You can make them with friends. Get together for a few hours and make quilts together.

They are great for charity or disaster-relief quilts. They are so easy, even non-quilter friends can help.

They are easy to quilt. You can quilt them on a domestic machine, without even marking. And you don’t need to do free-motion quilting—you can use a regular foot or a walking foot.

They let you coordinate decor. Make several quilts (they are made in pairs) to coordinate a room, a house, a rental, a cabin. Make them for siblings who share a room.

So what's in the book?

Standard patterns for Rectangle, Square, Diamond and Stripe quilts. Each pattern is sized to finish 58" x 80" (Rectangle or Stripe), or 58" x 58" (Square or Diamond).

Sizing and yardage charts to make any size quilt. You can make any size quilt. I've done all the work for you so you don't have to spend time calculating size or wondering if that piece of fabric in your stash is big enough. Just check the chart, cut your fabric, and sew!
