HAVE YOU GOT A STACK OF T-SHIRTS SITTING IN YOUR QUILTING ROOM?
Let's face it: many of us DREAD doing a T-shirt quilt.....
Bring those T-shirts to class and let's get started!

You'll love making a T-shirt quilt the One Block at a Time way!  This approach has so many advantages! You can
  • No planning necessary -- just start quilting blocks, and by the time they are quilted you'll have a layout worked out.
  • Easily quilt one shirt at a time YOURSELF on your domestic machine
  • Add embellishments such as applique or decorative stitching
  • Enhance the memories of each event by telling its story in the quilting design
  • Make smaller quilts or pillows with a few t-shirts, then add more as your t-shirt collection grows.
  • Avoid struggling with a big, heavy, stretchy top.
  • The quilt is FINISHED -- already quilted -- when ou get it assembled

In this class you will START THAT QUILT as you learn to:

  • Quilt one t-shirt at a time on your domestic or longarm machine
  • Add quilting and embellishments that will enhance the memories of a shirt by telling its story
  • Speed-quilt by combining piecing and quilting in one step
  • Calculate quilt size and yardage needed
  • Plan a layout
  • Join quilted blocks to build your quilt
  • Make a quilted t-shirt pillow / Take the pillow apart to build it into a quilt later
  • For quilters who have not done free-motion quilting before, we'll cover FMQ basics a few simple patterns so you can quilt in class!

In the in-person class you'll prepare and quilt at least one block, then (depending on your speed and class time), then we'll lay out shirts and start planning your layout. Or, if you wish, you can make your quilted shirt into a pillow.

In the online class, you'll have multiple weeks to quilt all your blocks and assemble a completed quilt.
