Dad's Woodworking Shop
(A Free-Motion Mastery in a Month Pattern)

A FMM30 "Perfect for Panels" Pattern

My dad has been a cabinetmaker and builder all his life.  Growing up I spent many hours working in his shop with him. This quilt was his 80th birthday gift. I hope you enjoy sharing it with the woodworker in your life!

The quilt is constructed "quilt as you go" -- or as I like to call it "Quilt First Piece After."  Quilt the blocks first, then assemble them after with joining strips. If you are learning free-motion quilting with the Free-Motion Mastery in a Month daily lessons, the quilt can be made following the lessons.

You'll receive two versions of the pattern -- the light blue and cream version and the Red-White-Blue version.

This pattern can be made with any 10" square block panel -- choose your favorite fabric or theme. It's great for school or team colors! Use your mind's eye to see this pattern made with panel blocks and colors that excite you! Flowers, dinosaurs, school colors . . . The pattern is simple and versatile, easily adaptable to any size.

Finished size: 59" x 79"
