I started this quilt back in 2017, the summer I first launched Free-Motion Mastery in a Month, but I didn't finish it until November 2020. The name comes from the large-print fabric that has birds and bird houses, and also because I started it in Arizona as a sample at a quilt show, a long way from my home in New York City. Part of the reason I waited so long to finish it is that I'm working on a technique for assembling curved lines using pre-quilted blocks. Stay tuned for more on that!
