Dad's Woodworking Shop Quilt Kit with Pattern

My dad has been a cabinetmaker and builder all his life.  Growing up I spent many hours working in his shop with him. This quilt was his 80th birthday gift. I hope you enjoy sharing it with the woodworker in your life!

This quilt is constructed "quilt as you go" -- quilt the blocks first, then assemble them after with joining strips. If you are learning free-motion quilting with the Free-Motion Mastery in a Month daily lessons, the quilt can be made following the lessons.

This kit includes the downloadable pattern and these key fabrics needed to get the look shown:

-- Tool Blocks for front of quilt  (3 Tools Panels for 18 blocks, 2 yards)

The Tool blocks have cream and blue backgrounds. The quilt requires 12 cream and 6 blue. Each kit contains 2 complete panels which give you 6 cream blocks and 6 blue blocks (see the image of the panel in the images above). The other 6 blocks in the kit are cream.

-- Fabric for back of Tool Blocks (for 18 blocks, 1-1/2 yards)

-- Joining Strip fabric for front of quilt  (5/8 yard)

The borders of the panel are fussy-cut for front joining strips on the vertical stripe blocks. The rest of the front joining strips are cut from the grey herringbone coordinate (see images).

-- Downloadable PDF pattern

Pattern includes a custom Wood Grain Tracing Sheet designed exclusively for this quilt.

You will need additional fabrics for the solid blocks, borders, back joining strips and binding. These fabrics and quantities are listed in the pattern.

Finished size: 59" x 79"
